Woman Rips IVs Out of Arm and hits Nurse in Face With Them

Things that make my skin crawl: Whenever I see someone in a movie break their fingernail and whenever someone in a movie rips an IV from their arm.

Also, that scene in American History X when Nazi Ed Norton curbs a dude. Ahhhh, his teeth scrape on the cement!

A Hepatitis C-positive woman was charged with aggravated assault for throwing her IV onto an emergency room nurse, according to court records.

Judy Esther Shadder, 59, of the 900 block of Berger Road in Williams Township, was charged today for the Feb. 14 incident that occurred at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem Township, Pa.

Shadder had been brought to the emergency room because she had overdosed on Xanax, was intoxicated and had suicidal tendencies, records say. At some point during her treatment, she ripped two intravenous tubes out of her arm, which struck nurse Wendy Nixon in the face, records say. SOURCE: The Express-Times

Oh, also, when people crack their neck. I’m always afraid they are going to crack it too far and die.
