Sonic in Lower Nazareth Township Totally Closed

Sonic was one of those places that, when everyone heard it was coming to the area said, “Yay, that sounds like fun, I’ll definitely go there!”

Then they did, for a week or so until the novelty of it wore off.

I’m not saying that Sonic isn’t good, but, I dunno…

It’d be much more interesting if the girls who wore roller skates were also part of a roller derby league or something, no?

The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office this morning shut down the Sonic Drive-In in Lower Nazareth Township because the landlord filed a lawsuit claiming the eatery defaulted on its rent payments.

Lower Nazareth Realty Partners, which owns the shopping center with the Sonic on Route 248, said in the suit filed last year that A&T Partners, LLC owes $81,026 as of Nov. 6 in unpaid rent dating back to June.

The suit sought to seize the property on Jan. 13, but the matter was delayed by 30 days because the notices were sent to the Sonic and not A&T Partners at 471 Rose Inn Ave., Upper Nazareth Township. SOURCE: The Express-Times

Meh.

You know what surprises me? The fact that any Arby’s I drive by is open. Who eats at Arby’s anymore?

Sure, they have some good roast beef sandwiches, but I only buy them when they are like $5 for 15 of them or something.

Also, did you know that one of the remaining few Arthur Treacher’s Fish and Chips is in Stoudsburg?

ROAD TRIP!
