Northwestern Lehigh School Board Member’s House Busted for Underage Drinking

Remember about a week ago when the Freedom High School principal sent out a letter to parents basically saying, “Hey, don’t buy your kids alcohol”? And then, we were like, well, if they are definitely going to drink, is it that bad if they drink at home?

And then an underage drinking party was broken up at the home of a Northwestern School Board member?

State police broke up an underage drinking party shortly after midnight Saturday at the home of the vice president of the Northwestern Lehigh School Board.

State police cited 12 people — six juveniles and six adults under the legal drinking age of 21 — at the home of LeRoy Sorensen at 4542 Senny Court at Werleys Corner in Weisenberg Township, according to a state police news release.

Sorensen, who joined the school board last year, said he was not home when state police showed up at 12:10 a.m. Sunday at the 2,700-square-foot house, which is located off Holbens Valley Road just east of Werleys Corner Road. Although his wife Louise was home, he said she was unaware alcohol was involved at the gathering.SOURCE: The Morning Call

I am not sure why but I think I actually believe this guy. His kids probably just got some alcohol in there and drank and it and were in their own room or whatever.

Then some person who they don’t like calls in an underage drinking call or whatever.

Should the kids be drinking? Legally? No. It’s not legal. HOWEVER, it’s better they are at home than driving around somewhere.

I’m just trying to be realistic here.
