Drunk Man Falls Asleep at Gas Tank in Bath

There are two kinds of naps. The first kind is where you wake up and feel like absolute crap for some reason. You’re in an achy fog and don’t know why. It doesn’t make sense.

The second kind is the one that is the complete opposite of crap where you wake up and are totally revved to go. You are like, “YAYYYY NAP RULLLED! Let’s eat some Nutter Butters!”

A Michigan man is accused of driving drunk after he allegedly fell at a gas pump Jan. 21 on Main Street in Bath.

Colonial Regional police were called at 10:44 p.m. to the Sunoco A-Plus gas station at 109 W. Main St. in the borough after Richard Lee Smith, 49, was spotted falling, police said.

Police found him to be under the influence of alcohol and Smith was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg for treatment, police said.

Smith was arraigned in front of District Judge John Capobianco and released on his own recognizance, police said. SOURCE: The Express-Times

Awww, they should have let him sleep it off, but trained a camera on him to catch when he woke up. Can you imagine waking up with a gas pump connected to your car, door open, people milling about around you?

Then you arrest him. Hey, the world is full of negativity, it’s not a bad idea to have some fun once in awhile.
