Train Smashes Car in Allentown

Worst place to park your car? Train tracks. Well, that or Camden. Have you ever been in a situation that was almost exactly like a movie? Tell me this lady didn’t go, “For serious? I’m in ever Final Destination movie ever!”
A woman who made a wrong left turn this morning in Allentown ended up struck on railroad tracks, but was able to get out of the vehicle before a Norfolk Southern train struck it, city police report.
The woman was able to call emergency dispatch at 6:37 once the car was disabled off 31st Street near Industrial Avenue, Capt. Keith Dorney said. Dispatchers tried to warn Norfolk Southern that the car was on the tracks but the train couldn’t be notified in time, Dorney said.
No one was hurt and the car was carried a distance down the tracks, where it remained at 8:30, Dorney said. SOURCE: The Express-Times
Now, this isn’t nearly as amazing as the Allentown two-year-old who was hit by a train and was like, “Meh, no biggie,” but, it’s still something.
