The Lehigh Valley Phantoms Should Bring Back Their Old Mascot, Phlex?

No matter your position on the downtown Allentown Arena, it’s going in and hockey is going to be played in 2014 or sometime.

So, let’s just get over that and move onto more pressing things like… the fact that their old mascot was soooo cooool!

Seriously, check this dude out. Phlex was like a skating vampire/phantom/ninja thing.

He was retired nearly a year ago and replaced with Dax, who is apparently some sort of drunk beaver.

Sure, Dax is very kid friendly (I read a comment about how some kids were scared of Phlex) but, cmon, this is ice hockey, kids have to be tough… even if they are watching it.

While there are probably absolutely no plans to bring Phlex back, I am super hoping that there is at least one new fan who is going to come along and dress like him on a regular basis.

Because, man, what an awesome mascot.
