Allentown Man Who Branded, Tortured Girlfriend Released After She Won’t Testify (FACEBOOK PROFILE)

I’m sure this guy will turn his life around and be a super productive member of society.

I mean, it’s POSSIBLE. Right?

All he did was torture his girlfriend and brand her and then try and hide from the police until he was eventually put in prison only to be released because she won’t testify…

In October 2010, a bloodied and battered Danielle Fuller told police her boyfriend tied her up with duct tape, beat and burned her and branded his initial on her back during two days of torture.

Fuller eventually recanted her story, leading prosecutors Thursday to offer the attacker, Marco K. Bowen (FACEBOOK PROFILE), a plea deal that resulted in his release from jail by the end of the day.

Knowing Fuller wouldn’t testify about the abuse at trial, prosecutors allowed Bowen to plead guilty to one count of felony aggravated assault. He also pleaded guilty to criminal trespass in a separate case under a deal that included a time-served sentence.

So Bowen, 29, of Allentown was released Thursday after spending about two years in Lehigh County Prison — much less than he had faced.

Well, maybe she just recanted because she’s scared and wants nothing to do with this guy…

Fuller later said she accidentally spilled hot noodles on herself, causing the burns, and she stabbed herself and slammed her face to the floor to cause the other injuries. Van Natten said Fuller also later claimed she wanted Bowen to brand an “M” for Marco on her back.

“The commonwealth is put in a difficult position because of Ms. Fuller’s recantation,” Van Natten said.

In court Thursday, Fuller admitted she’s visited Bowen several times in jail and said she wants to continue to have a relationship with him.SOURCE: The Morning Call

Ugh.

Well, hope to read about the happy couple soon. I’m sure it will be for saving a bunch of kittens or something…
