Men Attempt to Abduct Local Kids (STRANGER DANGER TIME, PARENTS!)

Apparently the sickos also have the memo that Halloween time is when some children walk around by themselves.

Today alone, there are two reports of men who attempted to lure children in two separate areas in Lehigh Valley.

So, while I am assuming all of you are super awesome parents. Now would be a good time to remind your kids to not talk to anyone and to aim for the balls.

Sparta police are investigating an attempted luring incident that reportedly took place on Thursday when a man allegedly asked a 12-year-old girl to get in his car while she was walking home from her school bus stop, according to Sgt. John Paul Beebe. SOURCE: Hoptacong / Sparta Patch

And…

A teenage boy was approached Tuesday night by a man in a car in the 600 block of West Broad Street in Bethlehem, but the boy refused the man’s attempt to lure him into the vehicle and ran home, city police report.

The 14-year-old reported the man told him he was asked by the boy’s father to pick up the youth, police said. The boy thought this was suspicious, and refused the offer, police said. As the boy ran about 9 p.m., the car, described as a dark, possibly purple Subaru, followed for a short time before leaving the area, police said. SOURCE: The Express-Times

I always kinda wanted to be approached by a stranger when I was a kid (mostly because I probably didn’t understand the severity of sickos) because I wanted to be able to go absolutely nuts. I figured, if I was approached by a stranger, that would be the ONE time I could just flip out and kick and scratch and scream swear words and stuff.

Of course, I’m glad that never happened. It was the comic books I read, must have been.

But,  yeah, seriously, parents. Get on that stuff.
