Allentown Woman Fakes City Tour to Try and Sleep with Man

I guess prostitutes would be decent tour guides. They know the streets pretty well and know the neighborhood regulars. They could probably tell you where to get the cheapest coffee.

But, pick one or the other. Either your a tour guide or you’re a lady of the evening. You can’t be both unless you want to work a lot of overtime hours.

Wait, what IF you COULD be both? She may be onto something here…

An Allentown woman has been arrested after bringing a man to a Hanover Township hotel for what he thought was a guided tour through Allentown, but turned out to be an attempted sexual rendezvous.

Latoya Rhea Romany, 26, met with Vinod Ramnani at a room at Knights Inn at 1880 Steel Stone Road in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, Sunday for what Ramnani believed was a tour, police said.

Odds that they have the last names “Romany” and “Ramnani”? Astronomical. That never happens in the world of tours and mistaken hooker money.

But after he paid, Romany and Ramnani got into an argument over sex and she refused to give him his money back, prompting Ramnani to call the police, according to records.

When questioned by police, Romany twice identified herself as India Rhea Thomas, a name she later admitted to having made up, according to state police.

She was arraigned Sunday for providing false identification to a law enforcement officer. No other charges have been brought against her, according to records.

Police said Romany lied about her identity because an active warrant is out for her arrest in Lehigh County. Court records do not specify the charges on that warrant.

Romany was committed Sunday to Lehigh County Prison in lieu of $2,500 straight bail, according to court documents. SOURCE: The Express-Times

I think it was Charleston where I saw that they had what basically amounted to a city tour of the old brothel locations, etc. I guess that isn’t exactly something we’d want to see around here, but, it’s something.

Also, if you’re going to get a tour around here and it’s not being pulled by a horse, well, you’re wasting your money. All tours, except the ghost tours we give, of course, should be required to be pulled by horses.
