Long story short, he finally got himself in some deep trouble and this should be the end of this experiment in politics. Whether or not you support Mitt Romney, stealing his political signs and getting your truck stuck in a field whilst drinking, underage, probably isn’t the best way to win any debates.
Alburtis’ teen councilman is in trouble with the law again, this time on charges he stole campaign signs supporting Mitt Romney and other Republicans and then took a joy ride that damaged high-profile farmland in neighboring Lower Macungie Township.
Kyle Bower, (FACEBOOK PROFILE) a 19-year-old Democrat, was less than a year into a four-year probationary sentence when he plucked three campaign signs — one for Romney and others backing U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent and state Rep. Ryan Mackenzie — from a neighbor’s property before driving through a Jaindl Land Co. soybean field in Lower Macungie, police said.
Investigators say they found the three election signs, along with two bottles of beer, in the vehicle, which was stuck on Jaindl land near the Alburtis borough line at Ruth Road and Smith Lane, site of the controversial 700-acre development Jaindl is planning. The alleged incidents occurred late Oct. 3 into the next morning. SOURCE: The Morning Call
His felony charge? Agricultural crop destruction. This is true.
The saddest thing in all of this isn’t the fact that he got elected. Sure, it didn’t look like a good decision, but heron fair and square. So, no matter his background, he had every right to serve his term. He could have used this truly unusual time not only to turn his own life around, but also to prove those who doubted him at he was fully capable of leading in his community,
Instead, he’s just what everyone thought he was. There’s a good campaign slogan.
This was all a lot of fun.
