While Cleaning Chocolate Syrup Off His Car, Man is Threatened to be Stabbed

Sometimes I wonder what future people, like 100 years from now, will think about the clothes we wear. Next weekend, I’ll be wearing a lederhosen while at Oktoberfest. It’s a funny little get up. However, at some point, some culture thought it was totally cool.

Just makes me think if future people will go into a future Halloween store and buy a denim jeans costume.

A Bethlehem man is accused of threatening to stab a city man, kill his mother and burn down his house, according to city police.

David Margretta, 41, of the 700 block of East Seventh Street, has allegedly had an ongoing dispute with the victim, whose name was not provided by police.

Authorities say Margretta and the victim argued this summer over a woman; sometimes it turned physical. The victim told police he was cleaning chocolate syrup off his vehicle at 5:10 p.m. Saturday near his home in the 300 block of East Third Street when Margretta walked by.

Margretta allegedly began insulting the victim and threatened to stab him, kill his mother and burn his home to the ground. Police say Margretta bragged about a past attempted homicide conviction.

“I’ve done eight years upstate and I don’t mind doing 10 more ‘cause I’m going to kill you,”’ Margretta allegedly told the victim.

Margretta also called a friend of the victim a racist epithet and threatened to slash the friend’s tires, according to arrest papers. Before leaving, Margretta stole the victim’s outdoor furniture set, which is valued at $100, along with a trashcan worth $15, documents say. SOURCE: The Express-Times

Umm… Nothing more about the chocolate syrup? You’re just gonna leave it out there? So, he’s just washing it off his car, no big deal? You thought you’d mention it but it was totally not important or weird enough to bring back up? You’re gonna do that?
