Bethlehem Gang Member Holds Up Gas Station to Buy Gift For Mom
Not sure if I 100 percent buy this one or not, but, we’ve all been in a position where someone’s birthday or bris or baby shower or second wedding comes at a time where we’re just not in a position to shell out for a gift.
The best option is to go creative. That way, even though the people won’t really like the macaroni art you made for them, they will pretend you did and you’ll be able to feel good about yourself.
An 18-year-old Bethlehem man told police he robbed a gas station in July because he needed cash to buy his mother a birthday gift, according to court records.
Cameron Christian Blake – who police said is a Bloods gang member - is also charged with an armed robbery and kidnapping Sept. 9 in the city. He remains in Northampton County Prison under $150,000 bail on the latest charges filed Wednesday.
…
In an interview with Bethlehem police on Sept. 25, Blake admitted to the holdup. He said he robbed the store because he realized he wouldn’t get paid until after his mother’s birthday and needed to buy her a gift.
He told police that the day after the robbery, he went into Allentown and used the stolen cash to buy his mother a Kindle. He said he used the remaining cash to buy marijuana.
Blake is also charged with the armed robbery and kidnapping of a man on Sept. 9 in Bethlehem. Police said Blake forced the victim at gunpoint to withdraw $200 cash from a convenience store. SOURCE: The Morning Call
See, his story was almost believable until the whole kidnapping thing a few months later.
He was probably just looking for a gift for his grandmother that time. Grandma’s always remember when you forget their birthdays. They’ll be like, “You know, I won’t be here much longer, I want some Werther’s Originals!”
Why do old people LOVE butterscotch?
