Woman Leaves Child Behind at Store After Shoplifting $185 in Clothing (FACEBOOK PROFILE)

Kids can sometimes be total jerks, but leaving them at the scene of a crime may be a new form of punishment that just may not work.

I only feel bad for people who shoplift things like bread, milk, and possibly “Mean Girls” DVDs, because that movie is fetch.

A woman accused of shoplifting from a department store left her child behind as she left with about $185 worth of clothing, officials said.

Stacee M. Banko (FACEBOOK PROFILE) was shopping with her 11-year-old daughter when she left the Kohl’s department store at 3768 Easton Nazareth Hwy., Lower Nazareth Twp., Northampton Co., with a shopping bag full of unpaid merchandise at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, officials said.

Banko took the merchandise without her daughter’s knowledge, and that Banko left the store without her child, according to court documents.

See, if she left the store with a bag and just didn’t realize she didn’t pay for it, I could even give her the benefit of the doubt. But, if you’re leaving your living, breathing, 11-year-old child in Kohl’s, I’m going to have to think that either a mental breakdown or alcohol was involved.

I wish there was some surveillance footage! Boo.
