Bethlehem Woman Uses Lehigh Student’s Cell to Charge More Than $1,000 (FACEBOOK PROFILE)
Losing your phone is frustrating. Almost as much as losing your wallet. I have a friend who lost her phone inside her house and she keeps posting on Facebook about it.
She started out with the whole, “You know what? maybe this is a good thing. I will enjoy not having my cell phone for awhile. It will be refreshing to return to nature.”
Then she moved to the, “This is kind of annoying, what if there is an emergency? Ugh, I may actually NEED my phone, which is also annoying.”
And then, “Alright, this thing is IN MY EFFING HOUSE… WTF? Where could it be? I even checked the fridge.”
And as of 5 a.m. today, “WHERE THE HELL IS MY PHONE I AM GOING TO SET FIRE TO MY HOUSE SO I CAN SIFT THROUGH ITS HIDDEN LITTLE ASHES!”
At least this didn’t happen to her.
A 21-year-old Bethlehem woman is accused of stealing more than $1,000 from a Lehigh University student after stealing the victim’s cell phone, according to court records.
Genesis Lee Rodriguez, (FACEBOOK PROFILE) of the 900 block of Sullivan Street in the city, allegedly racked up charges throughout Bethlehem, including at T.J. Maxx, Pizza Como, Rite Aid, Wawa and Giant among others.
The victim contacted the Lehigh University Police Department in late August after noticing their cell phone was missing and charges were appearing from their bank account, court papers say.
When police caught up with Rodriguez, she allegedly admitted to stealing $1,355.66. SOURCE: The Express-Times
Obviously, her card or other payment access was hooked up to the phone.
Now THAT is worse than losing your wallet even! Lock all that up or make your phone self-destruct!
