We’ve written about Joe’s Tavern before, most notably in our Dive Bar Confessional series. Joe’s is, well, Joe’s. Nestled in downtown Bethlehem two blocks up from Brew Works, Joe’s is just a bar. A friendly, no frills, dart board in the back, fried food, cheap beers bar.

And, as possibly mundane as that sounds, it’s actually rare in this day and age of themed out, tricked out or otherwise gimmicked out bars. 

Whenever I’m in Philadelphia, I always flock to the types of bars that remind me of Joe’s. They have a sense of the genuine and make me feel at home. Perhaps, that’s why Joe’s is the place I like to go when it’s just time to chill with a few friends and talk.

It’s my personal favorite north Bethlehem bar because you don’t necessarily need a reason or pretense to go there. And, did I mention the prices?

Well, in any event, Joe’s recently began hosting karaoke with PartyMasterz and is mixing it up with new drink specials and bartenders.
