Nerd Steals World of Warcraft Cards (FACEBOOK PROFILE)

There are not many things worse than a smug nerd. Smug nerds are even worse than smug hipsters. Smug hipsters at least, well, you hope, understand that their whole ideology is a bit absurd.

Well, nevermind, I know a lot of smug hipsters who think their ideas are actually really important.

Anyhoo, back to smug nerds. Since nerds are now “cool” after the advent of a lot of their interests that were previously kinda underground becoming mainstream, or at least, kinda mainstream, they now think they can be smug. They are all like, “What, you don’t know what Quidditch is? You’re such a loser.”

Smug nerds! I shake my fist at thee!

Bethlehem man stole $40 worth of World of Warcraft trading cards June 30 from a Wal-Mart in Lower Macungie Township, Pennsylvania State police said.

Corey Dennis Denardo, 19, (FACEBOOK PROFILE) took the cards at 6:36 p.m. from the 1091 Mill Creek Road store, police said. He was cited for retail theft, police said. SOURCE: The Express-Times

I’d love to be a smug nerd but I just can’t get into these games like some nerds do.   Or movies. I mean, I love Robocop as much as the next guy, but I’m not going to seriously plaster my room in Robocop memorabilia the same way some Star Wars nerd will do for his. It’s just really weird. That’s all.
