An Easton woman whose car ran out of gas faces charges after causing a disturbance and then resisting arrest, city police reported early this morning in a news release.

Lydina A. Simpson, 22, (FACEBOOK PROFILE) of the 300 block of Palmer Street, was driving in the 600 block of Walnut Street when her car ran out of gas, police said. After creating a disturbance by yelling obscenities, she refused to cooperate with authorities, police said. She tried to kick officers and wrestle away from them as they took her into custody, police said.

Simpson is charged with resisting arrest, simple assault, driving with a suspended license and disorderly conduct, police said. SOURCE: The Express-Times
