Pot Smoking Craigslist Ad Leads to Man’s Arrest (FACEBOOK PROFILE & CRAIGSLIST AD)

We all know that Craigslist is a great place for meeting people who you didn’t have the guts to actually talk to in public, but it’s also apparently a great place to meet women who smoke pot and want to meet up to smoke pot with you, who are actually police.

The more I think about it, while this is some good “police work” it also seems a bit … frivolous. Sure, this is illegal stuff but… I don’t know. It seems a bit fishy.

It doesn’t change the fact that this guy is stupid, though.

A 38-year-old East Stroudsburg man is facing marijuana drug charges after authorities responded to his online classified advertisement seeking “any females into 420,” a reference to smoking marijuana.

A detective from the Monroe County district attorney’s office made arrangements to meet Brian K. Ryder (FACEBOOK PROFILE) Friday after reading his ad on Craigslist from a male seeking a female to “smoke with.” The ad read, “Any females into 420? It’s nice out. Let’s go smoke. Email if interested.”

Investigators made arrangements to meet Ryder at the Stroud Mall on Route 611, but Detective Joseph Coddington pulled him over in his pickup truck prior to arriving at the mall. Ryder was charged with possession with intent to delivery marijuana, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was cited for having an expired inspection on his truck. SOURCE: The Morning Call

I’m surprised the cops were able to break his cryptic code and dupe this guy into driving to meet them.

Also, this was posted on the Poconos Craigslist. I haven’t had the opportunity to peruse this one, however, I’m a bit scared. I’m thinking it’s going to be all about swapping cows and meth.
