Woman Tries to Bathe in Restaurant Bathroom, Car Chase Ensues

Road trips are fun, but they also can bring about tricky bathroom situations when you’re somewhere in the midwest and you don’t know if it’s safe or not to stop at one of the rest stops since you might get raped or be forced to eat whatever’s in one of their vending machines.

I had a friend who would ask “Why do they have a sign that says Food/Fuel next stop? Why not just FOOD or FUEL? I mean, food is fuel for your body and fuel is food for your car.”

Ugh. Anyway, I’ve never had to actually BATHE in a rest stop, however, I would much rather stink than go about figuring out how to contort myself just enough to get the right spots wet.

Kinda like your mom. BOOM.

A 51-year-old Easton woman was recently charged with leading Whitehall police on a chase and ramming a cruiser after she tried to bathe in a restaurant, court records say.

According to the arrest affidavit:

Township police were called to Bravo, an Italian restaurant in the Lehigh Valley Mall Lifestyle Center, around 6 p.m. Oct. 17. An employee told police a woman in night clothes was trying to bathe in the restaurant bathroom. She was identified as Lauri D. Jabbour of 39 Russett Drive.

When an officer arrived, he tried to talk to Jabbour, who was in her car and trying to leave. She refused to turn off the ignition and drove away. The officer managed to get out of the way.

Jabbour ran a stop sign and left the mall, going southbound on MacArthur Road and then east on Route 22, ignoring police behind her. During the chase, she rammed a cruiser and tried to ram another one while going 50 mph. Spike strips stopped her soon afterward.

Jabbour was charged with three counts each of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment and one count each of fleeing or attempting to elude police, reckless driving, disorderly conduct and running a stop sign. She was arraigned Oct. 18 and sent to Lehigh County Prison, but posted bail the next day. Source

Umm, they should arraign her on charges of being crazygonuts. Can you get arrested for bathing in a bathroom? I mean, sure it sucks, but I’ve been in some bathrooms where guys have pooped badly enough that they should be held on charges. If this lady just wanted to freshen up a bit, let her.

However, trying to kill a police officer in an attempt to get away may not be the best way to explain that you were just trying to get rid of your B.O.
