Fake Water Meter Man Robs House

Editor’s Note: Sexy girl image provided for emphasis.

Do water meter men still come to the house and read the meter? I haven’t really seen that happen lately. But, maybe my water meter just doesn’t need reading? Don’t they just check the water from some internet device? I don’t know, my head hurts thinking about it.

However, if you’re an old person, I bet you still think they read the meter, so that’s a good way for someone to trick you into letting them into your house.

Stupid face.

Police said a man who posed as a water bureau employee went into a Bethlehem man’s home Thursday morning and stole $300.

Police said the victim is 90 and lives along Hamilton Avenue.

A man wearing a laminated identification card hanging from his belt told the victim he was there to read the meter. The victim told police he did not check the man’s identification.

After later checking his bedroom, the man found $300 missing.

Police said the suspect is a white man with brown hair and a brown mustache. He was wearing a brown jacket and dark pants.

The theft is a warning for residents to check the identification of anyone posing as an employee who comes to their home, said Bethlehem police Lt. Joseph Kimock.

Man, these sophisticated criminals make it so you can’t trust ANYONE. In fact, if you’re getting pulled over by the cops, you can’t just assume they are cops! You have to probably just keep driving until you can make it to a police station so that they can properly identify themselves as real cops. BUT THEN AGAIN that police station might just be a fake one where all the fake criminals hang out and trade fake laminated badges around.

Shit.
