Did You Know The Transformers was FILMED IN BETHLEHEM????

HOLY SHIT, the Transformers was FILMED IN BETHLEHEM!!!

DID YOU GUYS KNOW THAT?

DID YOU KNOW THAT it was filmed at the steel site and that that is PART OF THE MOVIE?!?!?!

DID YOU KNOW THAT THEY CHANGED IT INTO CHINA???

Did you KNOW that Transformers is NOW in the MOVIE THEATER and you CAN WATCH IT?

The beginning of the summer blockbuster movie ’ ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’’ shows so much of the former Bethlehem Steel property in south Bethlehem, it could be a travel promotion for the site.

Except, of course, for the enormous, murderous robots and the destruction they wreak.

But in a movie that moves at breakneck speed, with flash-fast scenes, Bethlehem gets eight minutes of early, action-filled, plot-central time (it’s the first scene after a brief prologue), when the evil alien Decepticons again invade Earth to battle the Autobots.

Filled with explosions, helicopter battles, car chases and fleeing people, the scene sets the premise of the movie.

And except for the 22-minute climactic battle set in Egypt — which includes amazing destruction of the pyramids and other ancient landmarks — Bethlehem has the most screen time in the 21/2-hour film, which opened Wednesday.

The Steel’s huge blast furnaces and hulking buildings are prominent and recognizable. Only a few neon and painted signs in Chinese (and an interspersed shot of a city) are used to transform the scene into Shanghai, China.

”It was spectacular,” said Roger Hudak, chairman of Bethlehem’s South Side Task Force, who attended a Wednesday morning showing with The Morning Call at Rave Theaters at The
Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley. ”It got your attention immediately.” Source

THEY ARE FUCKING ROBOTS IN DISGUISE and they were RIGHT HERE IN OUR TOWN!!!

In other news, there are apparently a few porno companies that produce videos out of center city Allentown.

I don’t see everyone getting excited about that.

“DUDE, that’s my fucking COUCH!!!”
